Some Opening Thoughts...
This page is always up for change as I begin to actually organize my information. (I'm so disorganized =^.^=). This page has the senshi, villains from each season, and not going into specifics but also what the Monster of the Day were called (I suppose the different species and types). If you see any glaring mistakes, please e-mail me (I've already been called out on something, thanx Spacey for pointing it out).

OUR CHARACTERS ARE...
SAILORMOON!!! ~ the ditzy leader of the sailor scouts. She says she does want to but she truly does as you see in the series. In the dub, a whiny, young, gives-blondes-a-bad-name girl, she shows the rare moment of bravery. Serena (Usagi) is very protective of her boyfriend Darrien (Mamoru) and quite overly jealous, putting a cute twist through the series. In her past, she was the Princess Serenity (Selenity), she must recover her memory (plot of the first "season"). She gets in many troubles and if not for her friends, she'd be doomed.
TUXEDO MASK (KAMEN) ~ the boyfriend of Serena and goes by the alternate life style of Darien, he was Princess Serenity's lover in the old kingdom of the moon (sometimes as Prince Darien or as Endymion). He sees it as his duty to protect Serena, even if he doesn't know why in the beginning. Not technically a scout or senshi, he helps (and saves!) them suprisingly often and is the crush of nearly all the girls at one time or another in the series. I see him as a sort of Batman (minus the skills) meets Superman (minus the powers) meets Prince Charming meets "where's waldo???" But that would be the anime Darrien. In the manga, Tuxedo Kamen has many powers, a fact the anime chose to forget. They often do touch upon these powers but don't really explain them. SAILOR CHIBIMOON/MINI MOON ~ the future child of Serena and Darrien, she goes by the name of "small lady." (hey, she was raised in a palace)she carries a mysterious floating ball called Luna-P (or Luna Sphere or Luna Ball) that transforms into whatever she wants when she says the magic words ("Luna : KITTY MAGIC! Become a {fill in blank}")She is a bit like her father when it comes to usefulness in battles, until she meets pegasus (aka Helios). she sneaks through the time barrier to go find the Ginzuishou (Imperium Silver Crystal) so she can save her mother/future Serena. this spawns a ton of adventures which i currently can't put in because of space. =^.^= |
OUR OTHER CHARACTERS ARE...
SAILORMERCURY ~ Ami Anderson/Mizuno (see About page)she is the first sailor scout that Serena (really Luna, her guardian)ever found to help her fight evil and general darkness of the universe. Mercury is the brains of the group. Most of Mercury's attacks started being defensive, she helps think out the plans with Luna. Mild as a person, Ami(-chan) speaks up when she feels the others are being too stupid and is a good influence for the others. She loves to swim and a good thing too because her "element" in the show is water.
SAILORVENUS ~ really the first scout, she fights for love and justice. Very much like Serena, she flirts, slacks off, and generally gets in trouble. Her element is metal; she often trys to compare herself with the goddess whom she is named after. She is also a wicked good volleyball player.

CONTINUES WITH CHARACTERS...
SAILORMARS ~ the hot headed, temple priestess of the group. serious into diviation, her element corresponds with fire. she actually started the series by dating Darrien! (a relationship where one was too clingy on the other)She works in a shinto temple with her (perverted) grandfather and later a boy named Chad (Kumada Yuuichirou). she later starts to date Chad (him being the washed up rock star). Raye has many dreams in the series, leading her to seem a bit egotistic. she is usually around for the others and even is she battles Serena constantly, she loves her as a sister.
SAILORJUPITER ~ strong, tough, earth "element," eldest...Lita is a bit like Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls, at least superfically. she is a kind hearted girl underneath who loves to cook. she easily falls in love ("that guy reminds me just like one of my ex-boyfriends/old sempai!")a bit of an outcast at first, Serena and her become friends quickly AND go out to fight evil IN HIGH HEELS! They are better than me... |
I WONDER WHAT THIS IS...?
SAILORSATURN ~ was there a sailor scout ever more hated? Poor Hotaru was possessed by an evil entity called Mistress 9. she had to deal with split-personality like moments. It didn't help that Saturn is the "sailor scout of destruction." she was easily one of the strongest but also the most easily tired out. she carries a giant scythe with her. Sailor moon continuously tries to protect her, especially from the Outer Senshi. Hotaru was reborn as a child during the series and...oh it's all a mess, i'll get into it later.
SAILORURANUS ~ quite a tomboy, she is originally mistaken as a guy. she is harsh, and is willing to sacifice anything for her cause. She cares the most about Michiru. She is also a carrier of a talisman (the sword). the dub warps her character a bit but it's close enough..except for her relationship w/ neptune... (don't believe the fan fict! They ARE in love because they are, not because she was a prince in a past life!)

COULD IT BE MORE CHARACTERS?
SAILORNEPTUNE ~ the beautiful michelle, talents in all things with the arts. Her "cousin" (oh please DiC) is Amara (Haruka). She isn't as severe with her goals but is also willing to sacifice much. another Talisman carrier (mirror), she makes many of the other scouts jealous at first. Michelle isn't a push-over either: she is sometimes tougher than Haruka. the anime doesn't often show the other side to Michiru...the comics sometimes show her as vain. Generally sweet, Michiru ends up being many people's favorite.
SAILORPLUTO ~ trista (I like Setsuna better) is the mysterious final planet scout. Very little is known about her: she carries the final Talisman (crystal Orb), she is very affectionate of "small lady", and she guards the gates the gates of space and time. she is the eldest of the senshi and also is portrayed as a very lonely person. |
SEMI-FINISHED MORE SCOUT DESCRIPTIONS!
THE SAILOR STARS: there are three of them. Brief Description: not exactly in agenda with the other sailor senshi. There is little known about them, causing the outer to especially dislike them. Here they are for the first time...:
SAILORSTAR FIGHTER ~ the alias of Kou Seiya, of of the three star lights, a rock band, and sailor stars. has a crush on Usagi (Japanese names used here because sailor stars technically haven't been dubbed yet) and flirts constantly after Mamoru *tries*(oooo...spoiler) to leave for America. In the Star Lights, Seiya does the lead vocals for the group.
SAILORSTAR MAKER ~ also known as Kou Taiki. Very studious and competes with Ami for the top of the class. the tallest in the group, as a Star Light Taiki plays the guitar. Red head...what else is there to say...?
SAILORSTAR HEALER ~ the hidden idenity of Kou Yaten. Another member of the Star Lights, plays the keyboard. Yaten is very artsy and creative like that. Also has serious problems with things known as gym, phyiscal exertion, tact, and Usagi. Yaten is also the most self-centered, obnoxious, and sarcastic of the Sailorstars. Yaten is worst than even Raye!

Villians
The Villians are very difficult to go through because the manga and anime versions of the characters often contradict. when it's especially an anime description i'll put a "(A)" and manga "(M)" ~
The Negaverse/Dark Kingdom (First Season: Sailor Moon) ~
QUEEN BERYL ~ (A) She is the absolute ruler of the Negaverse. (M) She is the part ruler with her mission being to release the evil Queen Metallia. (in (A) Metallia is a bizarre cloud thing that she gets advice from. the dub doesn't do a good job explaining this. this cloud is the "negaforce" they keep trying to release) Metallia brainwashed Beryl and created the Dark Kingdom. Beryl wants to recover the Ginzuishouru/Silver Crystal because it is the only thing that can interfer with her plans. she is also responsible for the Moon kingdom attack and destruction.
JADEITE ~ He is Beryl's first general. He wasn't too good at his job. he had to go out and collect energy.(M) He was a protector of Prince Endymion. he had a thing for Sailor Mars in the present but is ironically burnt to a fine toast by her. (A)He was killed by Beryl, when he was sealed into this crystal thing and flung into a black hole.
NEPHRITE/NEFLYTE ~ another of Beryl's agents and second general. (A) he becomes a bit of a softy in the end. He used to amply his victims energy before stealing it. he posed as a famous business man and is killed by a jealous Zoisite. (M) He was another of the protectors of Endymion, HE may have had a crush of Jupiter but was also destoyed by her, like Jedite to Mars. (there IS a theme here...right?)
ZOISITE ~ Servant a la Beryl, (A) had a EXTREMELY close relationship with Malachite (see photos "hold me tight"). Killed by Beryl in the end. (M) third protecor of Endymion and had NOTHING to do with Malachite/Kunisite in that way. (A) trained by Malachite, she disobeyed and managed to retrieve many of the rainbow crystals trapped in human souls. hated hated hated Tuxedo Mask. Also, is female in Anime unlike the Manga. Guess what that means about her/him and Malachite via anime.
MALACHITE/KUNSITE ~ final general of Beryl. One of the most powerful agents. (M) the final protector of Endymion and in love with Venus. (A) hated hated hated Sailor Moon (complienting Zoisite). he was, well, mean. He was killed by Sailor Moon went she bounced one of his attacked back at him with her "moon wand."
MONSTER OF THE DAY ~ Youma
ALAN (AIL or EARL) AND ANN ~ ANIME ONLY!(First Half of second season of Sailor Moon R) ~ alan and ann were not originally from the sailor moon comics. They were two aliens from outer space who came with a giant "Doom Tree" (Makaiju) that absorbed energy. they ran around serena's school (in human form of course) as a brother and sister with the last name Granger. also, alan falls in love with Serena while Ann does the same to Darien. awww.... =^.^=

Some More Baddies...
THE DARK MOON (Sailor Moon R)~
WISEMAN ~ very little is known about the Wise Man. He comes from a future time. His plan is to send Rubeus back into the past (out time) to try and pretty much destroy Tokyo. If they destroy the past then the future Crystal Tokyo Kingdom would be destroyed and so Wise Man could gain control of the planet. He is a freaky floating guy with glowing eyes and a freaky cloak. See the picture on this page!!! There is at one point in the anime I recall actually SEEING the Wise Man's face (there's a big set up to this with speeches and lighting flashes...but this is too musch for me to write here...just trust me) and GEEZ! He is FREAKY! i declare him the SCARIEST looking character. Really...he is.
RUBEUS ~ Loyal servant of the Wise Man on the Dark Moon. (ooo, ooo, if u ever see a pict of any of the dark moonies, they have the "family" moon on their foreheads! Look at Dimando's pict!) Rubeus's mission was to destoy the past, to which he usually past down to his sub-ordianants, the four sisters that he brought with him. Rubeus dies when his spaceship blows up after a battle with Sailor Moon (he set the thing to self-destruct). Unable to escape in time, he dies as the scouts escape.
THE FOUR SISTERS: SISTER ONE ~ CATSY (COOAN) ~ The most aggressive of the sisters, she managed to be EXTREMELY vain. but then again, all the sisters were. she requires little help from the droids (monster-of-the-day a la black moon style) and has been known to fight directly with the scouts. Catsy (Cooan) feactures a wacky, wild tutu and hair brought up into two "cat ears." she also wears a giant purple jewel above her cresent.
SISTER TWO: BIRDY (BERUCHE) ~ She plans out things a lot, but wouldn't mind if someone else does all the work...as long as she got the glory. When she goes into the public and pretends to be human, she dresses very conservativly, but otherwise...Bercuche's color is blue and she styles her hair so a braid goes across her forehead.
SISTER THREE: AVERY (KALVERAS) ~ Could care less about the mission. concieted, carries a whip, is always concerned with outwitting and outplanning her older sister Prisma(Petz).
SISTER FOUR: PRISMA (PETZ) ~ Reluctant, always battles with Avery (Kalveras). Comes very close to destroying the scouts at one point.
BLACK/WICKED LADY ~ Rini all grown up and being evil. She was created by the Wise Man. She was brain washed by "memories" that the Wise Man planted in her mind. Was destroyed by Sailor Moon and so returned to her young, innocent, Chibi-usa/Rini state.
SAFIRU(SAFFIRE) ~ Is Dimando/Diamond's younger brother (M) wants to destroy the people of Earth from banishing their kind into space sometime in the past (our future but HIS past). he tried to stop the Wise Man but is destroyed by him. (A) Much diffrent, regrets the banishment from the Moon Kingdom (?) and remembers his days amongst the flowers with his brother. Also trys to stop Wise Man so he can protect his brother from a power struggles with him. He gets away and manages to find the Four Sisters, whom have taken residence on Earth. Goes back to the Wise Man and is killed in front of Diamond as Saffire is being declared a traitor. The Scouts try to save him but it is too late. Saffire dies in Diamond's arms. Both versions show how Safiru/Saffire tells Dimando/Diamond how Wise Man is decieving him. The(M) verses the (A) show the character as two difffrent people of evil vs. good. Both versions are very good but they both tell diffrent stories.
ESMERAUDE (EMERALD) ~ Rubeus's successor, she is a lady in green with a furry fan. Her plan to destroy Toyko was to have Saffiru/Saffire make statues of her that grew that (M and A original) shot off atomic blasts or (A dub) negative energy that destroyed stuff. In the end she demands that the Wise Man make hera queen. Wise Man gives her a tiara that (unfortunately for her) turned her into a raging dragon. She (future time, when scouts took a lookie at the future) rages toward the Crystal Palace and dies when Tuxedo Kamen/Mask kills her with a rose thrown through her brain. She falls into a black void (where did THAT come from?) screaming Dimando/Diamond's name. (I'm sure many of the people whi watched the series was glad for this simply because we no longer had to listen to her screeching, loud, and seriosly annoying laugh)
DIMANDO/DIAMOND ~ Leader of the Black Moon "family." Most noteable is his love of conagac (to which he nearly almost always has a glass of with him), and more importantly, his lust for Neo-Queen Serenity that gets him to A) try to capture/brainwash Serena/Usagi. B)capture, brainwash, and turn Chibi-Usa into Black Lady. C)get into a lot of trouble in general. Serena/Usagi eventually manages to get Dimando/Diamond to relize that Wise Man was decieving him but, OH! Too late, Wise Man killed him. Diamond dies in Serena's arms.

And the Evil Keeps Coming...
THE HEART SNATCHERS/DEATH BUSTERS (Sailor Moon S)~
PROFESSOR TOMOE ~ Pretty much the guy who goes and starts all the trouble; he was once head of research. He was showing off an (unstable) experiment to a group of scientists. his daughter Hotaru was also in the group looking at her father's work. The project went horribly wrong and the next thing you know the containment container breaks and explodes killing everyone in the room except for Professor Tomoe. Apparently this experiment held an evil creature from another dimension (?) who bargained with Tomoe. this creature said he would save little Hotaru if Tomoe who give him his soul (ooo, spooky). Tomoe agrees (nooooo!) and the creature/demon possesses Tomoe and puts Mistress 9 in Hotaru, causing her split personality complex. Evil Tomoe heads the deathbusters/diamons. This evil is killed when Uranus and Neptune use their Talismans on it.
KAOLINITE ~ First minion to search for the Talismans. she was sorta annoying...a evil doer like most evil doers. She is killed by the inner scouts/senshi when they use a Planet Power attack on her and Uranus uses a "World Shaking" attack to knock her from a really really high roof. you she her later as a lab assisant to Tomoe and tormentor of Hotaru, sorta a bizarre nanny. She fed Hotaru Chibi-usa's/Rini's heart crystal to her to release Mistress 9. Mistress 9 repays her by killing her. the only question is...How did Kaolinite come back to life in the first place after Uranus's attack? Did Tomoe preform a weird genetic experiment to bring her back or is she a robot or did they wish her back with the Dragonballs...? i just don't know.
THE WITCHES FIVE ~ WITCH ONE: EUDIAL ~ she took up Kaolinite's job of collecting "pure hearts" and looking for talismans. she had this huge gun that looked a bit like a machine gun and the Tetnis-shot-from-hell. this extracted the pure hearts in a rather, erm, painful fashion. she discovered that Uranus and Neptune carried two of the pure heart tresures (Talismans) that makes the Purity Chalice (Holy Grail). Eudial is killed by her co-worker and fellow Witch of 5, Mimete, when she put acid snails on her brakes which because they wouldn't work, caused her to accidentally drive off a cliff.
WITCH 2: MIMETE ~ Took up after Eudial "tradgially" dies. (oooo...promotion) Mimete would put the Daemon (i don't kid you...i am serious) into a (seriously...this is true) suitcase and release them when it was time for heart harvesting time. She would let the daemon/heart snatcher actually swallow the crystal and take it back to Tomoe. Mimete finally ditch effort to destroy the scouts was to sorta scan herself into a giant computer which amplied her power but u could only she her on a screen. She dies when Tellu pulls the plug on Mimete which she was still in the machine causing her to fall into a black void thingie.
(NOTE: after the second witch of the Witches Five, u see very little of the others...they often lasting one episode in the animated series. this is because the animators probably wanted to finish up this part of the series and get it over with)
WITCH THREE: TELLU ~ Very in tune with plants and plant life. This is was she used to extract the hearts. you don't get to know her very well because (at least in the anime show episodes) one of her plants turns on her and eats, well, her.
WITCH FOUR: VILUY ~ Knew a lot about computers. her plan was to extract the heart crystal through computer screens while one of the many schools in Tokyo was taking exams. She was a sort of an opposite to Ami, at least genius wise. Her plan back fires and when Sailor Moon damages her central computer, it slowly dissolves Viluy until she died.
WITCH FIVE: CYPRINE AND PIKURL ~ considered one witch because they were twins and they shared the same power and whatever. Once again, a single episode witch, they were transporting a mass number of hearts to Tomoe when they were caught by the Senshi. making a long story short, the Senshi tricked them into killing each other because we had to be introduced to Mistress 9 and the animators wanted to get to the important part of this section of the series.
MISTRESS 9 ~ the evil creature possessing Hotaru for most of her life. She was very evil and apparently there was a whole propecy about her and the soveign of silence and so on but it is never really explained. all you really need kno is her only purpose was to unlock the Master Pharoah Ninety. Mistress 9 is destroyed when Hotaru manages to regain control of her body (revealing the Sailor Saturn Scout) and, well, go watch the series. it's really cool (but it's short...so short). After the whole battle , Hotaru is reborn as a child and remains so until the Sailor Stars when her growth is accelerated and she returns to her adverge 8 year old state.
MASTER PHAROAH NINETY ~ umm....i think i covered it in Mistress 9. There just isn't enough stuff to bring together on it. How about, in the series, he was only seen as a bizarre evil mist/voidy thing. but it was an evil mist....caused lots of destruction...

The Last of the Series Villians
DEAD MOON CIRCUS (Sailor Moon SS) ~
QUEEN NEHERENIA ~ She was the leader of the Dead Moon Circus. She wanted to capture the enity known as Pegasus so she could get his golden horn from his head. Pegasus was known to hide in human dreams within a "dream mirror" The golden dream mirror holds Pegasus/Helios. She plays role in Super Star Saga too, but only for a while. (M) she attempts quite like Beryl to capture Mamoru from Usagi (do these bad guys ever learn). She DOES however manage to take Rini/Chibiusa. She was an extremely vain character who had control over mirrors and is stuck in a weird dead zone. She actually has Pegasus/Helios's body, but he escapes her through an astral projection thing. Neherenia gives orders to Zirconia through her mirror to do her bidding as she cannot.
ZIRCONIA ~ (M)She (A) He relayed the orders of Neherenia to various minons of a circus type form. This thing (he/she) is VERY bizarre looking and acting. Also carried a staff with a flying eyeball which I remember the Amazon Quartet calling (in A) Zircon...which took pictures of various victims who possibly had Pegasus in their dreams.
AMAZON TRIO ~ consists of (duh) three: Tiger Eye, Fish Eye, and Hawks Eye. Tiger Eye helps the other two. He also is in constant competion with Hawks Eye. I think Tiger Eye should be called Lion Eye or something, because of his huge mane of orange-blond hair. Tiger Eye picks victims that are young or naive and female. Hawks Eye argues that those who are older who be better victims (they could victims over choice and prefrence than actual potiental for "pure dreams") Hawks Eye has a bizarre hair sytle that stands straight up on end. the last of the trio Fish Eye was the most feminine of them all. (In anime dub, he becomes a she...homophobia. for less confusion's sake, she/he will remain he for description) I love this description of Fish Eye's outfit I found..."His outfit looks like a huge blue airmattress." Hey kids! i know an easy sailor moon villian outfit now! Fish Eye perfers male victims unlike the other two. All three work together and were created from animal DNA (fish, tiger [i still say lion], and hawk). At the end after the usual huge battle, Sailor Moon heals them and they go with Pegasus with human dream mirrors (previously lacking) to a fairy land of rest sorta thing. it was so sweet.
THE AMAZON QUARTET: ONE, CERE CERE ~ Sorta a leader of the group. She is compared with powers to Sailor Venus. The quartet takes over after the trio is elimainated. (A) introduced as the flower magician. (M) Is one of the Sailors named after astriods. In (A), they come off as being far more evil than in the (M).
TWO, JUN-JUN ~ one of the rougher of the quartet, she is equaled to Sailor Jupiter and is one of the astroid scouts. (A) Introduced to us as the animal trainer (me thinks?)
THREE, BESU-BESU ~ Her name is pronounced as "ves-ves" not "be-sue be-sue". She gots the style and went out on many missions. She is also paired to Mars.
FOUR, PARA-PARA (variation: PALLA-PALLA) ~ Is in love with using magic. She is one of my favs for a villian. She is the youngest (coming off in (A) as about the age of five but a bit older in (M)). She is equaled to Mercury. I think I like Para-Para so much is because she is so crazy...I mean literally. She's nuts. She cuts off dolls heads and whatnot. But you still gotta like her. Why, I don't know.
(All of the quartets wish to stay children eternally and seem pretty lazy but did quite a bit of work under the loyality to Neherenia and nagging of Zirconia. (A)"Don't dream that you're all grown up: big dreams are left best to kids...don't dream that...")
